FALA Market Place
On Saturday, November 1, the FALA (Friendship and Language Acquisition) program had their annual market simulation for their students. During this event, students used what they learned in classes to buy items, only using English. The students were given 10 “FALA dollars,” about 2 Brazilian reais, to buy items that were donated or from Graded’s lost-and-found. The students loved to use what they have learned in class, and to have the opportunity to have “gently used” clothes, shoes, home utensils—all for a very good price. To those who donated items, the whole FALA community gives their thanks.
